Sensor technology, is a game changer coming?

File sizes are huge, difficult to handle if you need to shot a lot

No real time playback in timeline

    Great highlight recovery in post

    Great shadow lift in post

    Great dynamic range

    So i started thinking:

The manufacturers could implement controls in camera to do the same thing you do in computer, like six rotate knobs in camera body, or adjustable menu itens in mirrorless cameras: shadow lift, highlight recovery, gamma, gain, pedestal, contrast. These adjusts need to be done in the RAW data from the sensor before debayering algorithm and before compression. This way you could do the grading inside camera in each take and compress the video to h264 or h265 10bit and in computer you just need to do small fine adjustments

So maybe we do not need new sensor technology, we just need better camera controls, same things we already have in premiere lumetri color, davinci resolve and photo softwares like lightroom and digital photo professional
