The EVF IR sensor is damaged on my camera, and I need to bind the EVF toggle functionality to the "Fn" button on my camera. It is not an option in the firmware. Using this application (https://github.com/ma1co/PMCADemo) it is possible to toggle the EVF with one of the functions. However, it is slow to open the app and do this. So I would like to be able to bind it to the "Fn" button. However, I am unsure if it is possible to run a function within an application while using the camera normally, without opening the application. I noticed that someone on this forum is responsible for reverse engineering this camera's software. (https://www.personal-view.com/faqs/sony-hack/hack-development) I want to know if it is possible to bind toggling the EVF to the "Fn" button using a custom application, without having to open the application, or if it requires creating custom firmware. I have hacked my GH2 with the Flowmotion v2.02 Hack and since doing so the recording audio output level has fallen so low that I have to set my GH2 to level 4 audio gain to hear anything. this means more noise. Has anyone had his problem before?
